Everyone must complete a registration, including non-riders. To help insure a stress-free and accurate registration experience for all concerned, please read Rider’s Guide page on this website from start to finish, and read through ALL information on THIS page BEFORE beginning the registration process.
Age-related discounts are based on rider age as of the ride start date. See deadlines for discounts below. No refunds after April 16, 2024. Cutoff date for all registrations is June 8, 2024.
To register online, click on the "register ONLINE" box below. Additional processing fees apply to online registrations.
To register by mail for the bike tour event, download a registration form by clicking the "MAIL-IN" link below, then print out and complete the registration information form in its entirety, PRINTING carefully and L-E-G-I-B-L-Y, and return with payment to the USPS mailing address on the form.
Once registration information is complete, each registrant MUST read and sign a bike tour liability waiver at check-in. You are encouraged to review this waiver prior to your arrival at the tour start June 22. Click on the "WAIVER" link below to download a PDF copy of that waiver for review.
Bike Tour PRICING

NON-RIDER registration
$ 100 (non-riders MAY qualify for FREE registration and meals if they agree to serve as ride staff assistants for the entire tour; if interested, email rmc5487@gmail.com. Be certain to put RTFL 2024 non-rider in the email subject line!!! Very limited number of positions available, inquire early)

Bike tour base fees include, for each rider: outdoor or indoor camping space each night; indoor showers and/or shower trailer; maps, cue sheets, and route markings; rest/water/snack stops each day; on-route mechanical and SAG support; free parking for one vehicle at each location; entertainment; overnight town shuttle bus service (where required).
Bike Tour OPTIONS
BIKE TOUR SHIRTS/JERSEYS:
To order the official ride shirt or jersey, or both, please visit the MEALS/APPAREL/HOTELS page. Note: due to long production lead times, pre-ride orders MUST BE PLACED before March 31. ONLY IF ten or more participants sign up to order jerseys at the event, will we be able to place a post-ride order. In that case, JERSEY COST WILL BE $20 HIGHER TO COVER THE COST OF MAILING THEM TO YOU. They will arrive in September.
BIKE TOUR MEAL PLAN:
$150 Includes 6 breakfasts (Sunday-Friday) and 3 suppers/dinners at the final stop in Union City, Tennessee. This year we are no longer including the meal plan in the price of registration. This is primarily to benefit those choosing to stay in motels which often include a breakfast, but is also for those who either don't eat breakfast, or prefer for a variety of reasons to bring their own breakfast foods. ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS ARE URGED TO PURCHASE THE MEAL PLAN, AS THERE ARE EITHER NO OR INADEQUATE RESTAURANTS IN SOME OF OUR COMMUNITIES. Details are explained on the MEALS/APPAREL/HOTELS page of the website.
BIKE TOUR BICYCLE RENTAL:
$125 For those flying in to the bike tour or in need of a bicycle for other reasons, fully tour equipped fitness-style flat bar type bicycles (Cannondale Quick, Specialized Alibi, or Giant Escape) are available to rent for the week. The number of bicycles is limited, so reserve early. Contact us at rmc5487@gmail.com for details.
Additional bike tour REQUIRED information
REFUNDS/INSURANCE: NO refunds after April 16, 2024.
If you must cancel your registration prior to April 16, 2024, there will be a $175 processing fee. No refunds for ANY reason after April 16, 2024. Accordingly, you are encouraged to obtain trip interruption/cancellation insurance. Please check with an insurance provider of your choice for this important coverage. One source with experience in bike travel coverage is McKay Insurance. If you require medical treatment or ambulance services for any reason while on the ride, you are responsible for payment, and should therefore bring your insurance card and identification and keep it with you on the bike. Midwest Cyclotouring, LLC reserves the unconditional right to modify the tour route or itinerary at any time without prior notice due to weather, river, road, logistical, or other unpredictable conditions.
